Page Promotion How-To

 Our overview and guidelines for the Page Promoters. 

  • Be professional. 
    Follow the Rules of the Group you are in, be polite, and represent the team. Don't be an asshat.  

  • Ignore the "Boost" offers (advertising) and any offer from Facebook to Advertise. 
  • Page Promoters don't post in groups we own except under very specific circumstances, which we outline elsewhere. 

  • Page Promoters don't post on the actual Page, modify any settings, or remove the Pinned Post. 
  • Don't post risky stuff. 
    If you get a violation as the Page, you endanger the Page's existence and potentially put the other Page Team members at risk of suspension. When in doubt, DON'T post something if you feel there is ANY risk of a violation from Facebook or someone reporting your post. 

  • Don't Over-Post or Hyper Post. 
    We follow a simple Rule of Three: 
    • Only post 1-3 times, per day, in any Group.
      For Team Evil Page Promotion, we recommend you pick TWO groups to promote in, and stick with those two groups.
    • Only post in 1-3 Groups per day, total. 
    • Only post in other groups 1-3 days per week.
    • For our MetalPact Page Promoters, we assign ONE day ONLY normally with a maximum of two groups per person.

      If you fail to follow these guidelines, you will find yourself as well as every member of the Page Team on a "Feature Block", which blocks you and the other Team Members from posting in ANY group for 7-21 days. 

 

  • Invite Post Likers to Like the Page
    You have a 20% chance of success when you invite someone who likes your Page Post to like the Page. That chance goes down as time goes on. Watch your post, and do invites every 15 minutes. We recommend you do not turn off notifications for Page Likes on a Page you are promoting.

  • Post as Your Page, Not Yourself, in Other Groups. 
    Why not? You can't help the team by posting as yourself in other groups. You can post the same type of content (non-risky content, that is), just do it as the Page so you can grow the Page following.
