Click on the title of each below for a full description.
From highest to lowest, there are 5 positions:

Senior Admin
There are five senior admins are serve as the executives of our social media team. Each senior admin is a super admin to all of our groups, a page admin on our organizational headquarters Facebook Page, and oversees all of our accounts and middle manager admins.

Admin
Our admins oversee a Facebook Page, it's associated accounts (Facebook Group, Instagram Account, and Twitter Account). They are middle management, and managers of a specific area who oversee the Page and Group teams.

Content
Content team members are responsible for exactly that: producing content on one Facebook Page and it's associated Instagram Account. Having a desktop/laptop is required, and the content team primarily schedules content according to a social media calendar. Additionally, content team members act as moderators on the pages and accounts they work on, engage with those who interact with their page or account, and have only emergency roles as related to a Facebook group.

  • Video content team members focus exclusively on video content related to their assignment and also work with our YouTube accounts.

Promoter
Page Promoters are responsible for posting as a Page in groups, both our own groups and other groups, for the purposes of promoting the Page they have been assigned. For larger pages or accounts, this position is responsible for the advertising related to the Page or account.

Moderator
A moderator's role is one of a "good cop", which is to be helpful to members, be polite in reminding members of rules, and say something in the moderator chat when they see something. They are responsible for only light enforcement of the rules, and help the team by reviewing member requests. Read the Moderator Guidelines

  • Moderators each have a primary group they are assigned to, even if they have moderator privileges in multiple groups. We want the moderators to focus on the group they are assigned to first, but continue to say something if they see something elsewhere. We don't want moderators stressing out about anything outside of the primary group they are assigned to.
  • All moderators serve as a group "host", they are responsible for one or more posts on one day per week of an engaging nature. This post sometimes follows a theme in the group, such as horror on "Terror Tuesday" or Thrash metal on #thrashthursday. By engaging, we mean a post intended to interact with the members, such as a poll or discussion post.
