Page Roles & Profiles Policy
In order to have a Page Role on any of our Pages, you can ONLY use a profile that is your actual real-name profile, verifiable by ID to Facebook's standards. They specify two types of ID for usage: Passports and Driver's License.
If asked to verify your ID for a Page Role, you will be unable to publish as a Page, on the Page, or interact as the Page in any group until you do so. This occurs with "high reach pages".
Verification involves taking a picture of the front and back of your Driver's License. We recommend using the Facebook app itself on your phone, as Desktop/Laptop/Tablet uploads have been reported as being especially difficult.
Facebook's Policy reads as follows:
To manage a Page, you must have a profile based on your authentic identity. Keep in mind that you may be asked to get authorized as someone who manages a Page as a result of Facebook's efforts to increase accountability of Pages.
Keep in mind:
-
Fake accounts (an account where someone is pretending to be something or someone that doesn't exist) go against our Community Standards, and Facebook can remove them.
-
If there are several people who manage a Page, each person who manages the Page must have a profile based on their authentic identity. When people stand behind their opinions and actions, our community is safer and more accountable. For that reason, you must not share your password, give access to your Facebook account to others, or transfer your account to anyone else (without our permission).
Once you've created a profile based on your authentic identity or given your existing authentic profile a role on a Page, you can continue the publishing authorizations process. Getting authorized allows you to continue to be able to publish posts as your Page.
