Moderator
Moderator Overview
The Moderators review Membership Requests, are helpful to group members who have questions/politely remind people how we do things, and (for some) serve as hosts. ALL Moderators follow the Moderator Guidelines, and focus on being "good cops", doing only light enforcement of the rules. Our Member Conduct Team does the "bad cop" routine.
Moderator Group Role
The Moderators are assigned to one Facebook Group as their primary assignment, but may have moderator tags in a maximum of two groups.
- Only one profile may be assigned a Moderator Role.
- On rosters, group moderators are only listed in one group: their primary assignment.
Duties & Responsibilities
General
- Protect our house. Like/follow, watch, and engage with the Team Evil Page Community section (found under "Community" tab)
- Invite all of your metal or punk loving friends to "like" the Team Evil Page.
Group
- Keep your profile clean and out of trouble. Be careful with your posting, and use a different account for shenanigans
- Lightly enforce the rules and report violations. If you see something, say something
- Make a point to monitor and be active online the most on your assigned day
- Review member requests
- Review Post Approval ONLY in groups where Post Approval is set for all members
- Post one engaging post per week on the assigned theme day. Hosts may post more if they like, using their judgement. We recommend that a mod keep it to 3 posts maximum on their day.
- Hosts should attempt to be online when their post is published to interact with members whenever possible.
- Help out your fellow moderators and support the theme
Page
- Group moderators don't have a substantive page role, but should be familiar with the associated Page for their group, and report any issues they see on the Page to the Admin.
Chat
- Serving as a Chat Admin for any chats associated with their assigned area.
